One of the complements I get most as a photographer, and one of my most favorite is that I know how to make people feel comfortable and I find that incredibly special.

Why? Because I know exactly how it feels! I am definitely a person who struggles with shyness in new situations, and unless you and your family are used to having a camera in your face, it can be just plain stressful. For sure, things will be new and a little bit awkward at the start, but by the end of the session, the beginning butterflies will be a distant memory and we will have created some incredible photographs of you and your family.

One of the only things I love more than seeing you look at your images, is watching how you unfold and get into your session. It’s the almost but not quite forgetting that I am there and you are just enjoying yourselves wherever you happen to be, whether that is outside in Southwest Florida’s stunning backdrops with your family or feeling drop dead gorgeous during an empowerment session.

It can feel HARD to fully put yourself out there, especially if the focus is all on you but it never fails that my clients do the work, and step outside their comfort zone and even just thinking about it puts a huge smile on my face.

Creating photographs that will be treasured for lifetimes is my number one goal. The most important thing to me, going into every session is that when everything is said and done, you’ll be left with something more than images printed on paper. You’ll be left remembering all the details that fade over the years, brought back to the moment that photograph was taken to relive every good and beautiful second surrounding it.

It’s why I don’t like to be super pose oriented. For sure, we can take some standard poses, but I want most of our session to be about being in the moment. Of course, I will direct you into what to do with prompts and actions, but I want you to know that the wind in your hair is absolutely stunning, the silly grin and crunched up leaves in tiny fists is something you are going to adore and the genuine looks away from the camera only bring a treasured realness to your photographs. So much life and love live within those perfectly imperfect moments, and I am going to capture every single one of them.
